My Story – God Is Real
In 2003 I was diagnosed with a tumor on the right side of my neck just below my ear. At my appointment on Thursday with my physician she explained the images taken showed that “the tumor has grown to surround the facial nerve and she would have to cut the nerve so you will be one those people that every time I smile only half of your face will move. Also, the tumor has grown around your lower right jaw will have to broken to be sure I get it all. The procedure will take 3-4 hours and needs to be done as soon as we can. I can do it on Monday can you?” At the time my wife and I were active in an intercessory prayer group in our church on Tuesday evenings so I replied, “Not on Monday can you do it on Wednesday?” My Physician made 2 phone calls and then confirmed that Wednesday at 3:00 was good. Upon arriving home, I called Bill, the pastor in charge of the prayer group, explain the situation and requesting prayer and anointing at our prayer session on the coming Tuesday. At that session hands were laid on me, I was anointed with oil and prayed over by the entire group. The next day, Wednesday, I was on time at 3:00 and by 4:00 I went under anesthesia. I was waking out the anesthesia. When I was able to focus on the clock in the recovery room it read 5:18, not 4 hours later. I instantly thought of my father who a 52 had a cancer “exploratory” surgery, a very short one because they could nothing for him as he was “full of cancer”. Instantly expected the worst. I next saw my wife and she smiling, I don’t have that much insurance I thought. Then I saw the physician and she had a odd look on her face. “I need to know everything you did and ate since last Thursday when you left here.” “Why,” I asked. “When I made the incision and exposed the tumor, I found that the facial nerve had grown a bypass round the tumor, I would have seen that on the images we had taken and I had never seen or heard of that before. I decided to cut the nerve where it entered and exited the tumor and it fell out in my hand. I have no explanation for this.” “Doctor, the only thing I did was last night I went to our intercessory prayer group and was seriously prayed over.” Upon leaving the physician with 2 prescriptions, one antibiotic and for pain. As my wife pulled to the pharmacy drive-In 2003 I was diagnosed with a tumor on the right side of my neck just below my ear. I know I would not need it, and I didn’t, I experienced no post-surgical pain at all.God is very real He answers prayer and He heals. I know because this 3 rd time He has healed me of tumors.
