Now you know who you really are, that you don't have to pretend to be someone you are not. You may be asking yourself "what do I next?"

First, let's get to know the Lord who made you. The best way to do that is through His Word, the Bible. I know, I heard you, "but it's so long I can't do that". Yes you can. I will bet you can find 20 minutes a day, that's all it takes. I suggest one of the Read the Bible in a Year programs that are available.
The one I use is the One Year Bible Online,
oneyearbibleonline.com. It has a daily reading that you can also select an audio version (thats with a narrator who gives a helpful introduction to the reading for the day).

Next start a daily conversation with Lord. It starts with 5 minutes prayer but that's only half of it, we have to listen for his response set aside the same amount of time for both. If you spend 5 minutes praying spend 5 minutes listening, He will be sure you hear what He has to say.
He created you because He wants to be in relationship with you and just like other relationships you have there is talking and listening. Just start talking to Him, be reverent, you are talking to the Creator of everything, but you are created by Him in His image and no one understands you better than He does.

The Lord also wants you to find a local church to attend with other believers like you. He tells us to gather together in worship of Him and to support each other. You may have to try more than one until you find one with the right "feel".
Pray about it, ask for the Lord's help, He will be happy to do it. You want to find a bible based church. You can tell by the pastor's message. They will teach and talk about certain passages of scripture that support the theme of their sermon.
If attending a worship service is difficult due to work or personal life schedule or commitments, there are other options.  Many ministries broadcast their services on the internet or television and there are several I watch because of the teachings of the Pastors are meaningful to me. The are links on this page are meant to help you grow from a knowledge based relationship with God to a heart based relationship with God. Please keep in mind there is no substitute for gathering with our like minded believers.

A Prayer to Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior

The most important relationship for every one of us is our relationship with Jesus Christ. Choosing to believe that he is who he claimed to be—the Son of God and the only way to salvation—and receiving him by faith as your Lord and Savior is the most vital act anyone will ever do. We want life. He is Life. We need

cleansing. He is the Living Water.

Here is a simple prayer if you have not yet given your life to Jesus and invited him into yours:

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I

choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill me with your love and your life, and help me to become a person who is truly loving—a person like you. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me.

Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
